Purchases and Expenses
Record keeping
is considered by many entrepreneurs as one of the "least important" parts of operating
a business (unless you are an accountant). However, good record keeping is essential
to financial survival. Everyone in business must keep records: how you keep them
is up to you. Some people use filing cabinets and some employers hire someone to
look after those filing cabinets.
We have a simpler system. All you need is our Purchases and Expenses module and
a scanner. What could be more simple? Purchased something or encountered an expense?
Simply scan in the receipt and enter the details of the transaction. The module
will then work out the rest.

Employees will be refunded and client charged as appropriate, all
the expenses will be recorded ready for your tax return and all the reciepts and
invoices automatically saved. Just drop the hard copies into a box ready for your
accountant.
You may forget expenses when you prepare your tax return unless you record them
when they occur. Believe me you will need all the deductible expenses you can find.
Computer ConQuest’s Purchases and Expenses module makes it easy to file your receipts
and invoices, and will guide you through claiming legitimate business expenses (and
may even prompt you to claim expenses that you didn't think about!). As the module
operates from the Hawk engine, it will automatically
synchronise your data with all other users authorised to have access to this information
as well as performing an instantaneous backup without expensive server add-on software
required. As with most modules the Purchases and Expenses module works both on and
offline.
